Finance Traineeship - HBO graduate

For this role, it is important that you live within commuting distance of our Rotterdam office

As our Finance Trainee (HBO graduate), you will contribute to some of the world's largest and most forward-looking renewable energy projects. This full-time traineeship is designed for recent graduates who are eager to learn and build a career in finance. At Primo Marine, finance is much more than processing invoices. With offices in five countries and projects across the globe, you will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of an international finance department and learn how finance supports complex international business operations.

We are looking for someone with potential: a bright mind who is curious, eager to learn and ready to grow into an all-round finance professional. Supported by our Finance team, you will build a solid foundation in finance before expanding your responsibilities into project controlling, financial analysis and reporting.

Your path within Primo

During your first months, you will build a strong foundation by learning the essential processes of our finance department:

• Processing and recording purchase invoices for our Dutch and international entities;

• Assisting with bank reconciliations, payments, timesheet processing and monthly closing activities;

• Supporting VAT returns and sales invoicing;

• Learning how contract administration and project administration fit within finance operations.

As you develop, we will gradually introduce you to:

• Project controlling and project financial management;

• Analysing project performance and profitability;

• Preparing management information and financial reporting;

• Understanding how finance supports decision-making in an international business;

• Learning directly from experienced finance professionals, including our Finance Director, Management & Project Accountant and our Cost Controller. 

You've got it

• Recently graduated from a HBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or a related field;

• Available full-time (40 hours per week);

• Curious, eager to learn and motivated to develop yourself;

• Accurate and detail-oriented, while also interested in understanding the bigger picture;

• Comfortable working with numbers and analysing information;

• Fluent in English. Dutch is considered an advantage;

• Ambitious and ready to take ownership of your own development.
